In the south and west it borders on the forest. Near the village is an iron ore deposit.

Location
50 km west of Mazyr , 20 km from the railway station Mulyarovka (on the line Luninets - Kalinkovichi ), 181 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Skolodina River (a tributary of the Pripyat River ).
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the highway Gomel - Luninets . The layout consists of a curved latitudinal street with lanes. Two-sided building, wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 19th century as a village in the Sloboda-Skrygalov volost of the Mozyr district of the Minsk province . In 1879, it is mentioned among the villages of the Ostrozhansky church parish . In 1931, residents entered the collective farm . During the Great Patriotic War in December 1942, the invaders completely burned the village. 36 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, the club worked as part of the Osovets state farm (the center is the Osovets village).
