Location
16 km south-west of Mozyr , from the railway station Mozyr (on the Kalinkovichi - Ovruch line ), 149 km from Gomel .
Transportation Network
Transport links on a country road, then on the Lelchytsy- Mozyr highway. The layout consists of a rectilinear meridional street, to which a short, slightly curved street joins. The building is rare, wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Mozyr district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . The landowner K. B. von Bock owned here in 1889 with 500 tithes of land. According to the 1897 census, the village of Zhamenskaya Rudnya in the Sloboda-Skrygalov volost of the Mozyr county of Minsk province . With the commissioning in 1916 of the Zhlobin -Kalinkovichi-Ovruch railway, the railway station began work. In 1917, in the Sloboda-Skrygalov volost. In June 1917, residents decided to "take away the landlord, monastery, church and other lands."
In 1929 the collective farm “Komintern” was organized, a water mill was operating. According to the 1959 census, as part of the collective farm named after M.V. Frunze (the center is the village of Bolshoi Zimovishchi ). In 1962, the village of Chashnya was attached to the village.
