Geography
Location
28 km southeast of the district center , 30 km from the Mozyr railway station (on the Gomel - Luninets line ), 118 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Pripyat River (a tributary of the Dnieper River ).
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the highway Gomel - Luninets . The layout consists of a rectilinear street oriented from the southeast to the northwest and built up with loose wooden peasant estates .
History
The coin treasure (150 units) found in the village in 1957 dates back to 1654. The modern village was founded in the early 1920s by immigrants from neighboring villages on former landowner lands. In 1932, residents entered the collective farm . During the Great Patriotic War on January 11, 1944 it was liberated from German occupation. 9 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census as part of the sickle and hammer collective farm (the center is the village of Barbarov ).
