Location
17 km north-west of Loev , 44 km from the Rechitsa railway station (on the Gomel - Kalinkovichi line ), 61 km from Gomel .

Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the Loev - Rechitsa highway . The layout consists of 2 streets parallel to each other and connected by lanes, oriented from the southeast to northwest and built up on two sides with loosely wooden peasant estates .
History
Discovered by archaeologists of the settlement of the II century BC. e. - II century AD e. (0.15 km from the southern outskirts of the village, on the right bank of the river), settlements of the Milograd and Zarubinets cultures and the early Slavic period (near the village), settlement (on the northern outskirts) and a burial-free burial ground of the 2nd – 5th centuries AD e. (on the southern outskirts) indicate the settlement of these places since ancient times. In the Central Museum of the History of Russia (Moscow), ancient ceramics and household items of the inhabitants of these places are preserved. According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Rechitsa district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania .
After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . In 1850, a water mill worked, the possession of Count Rakitsky. In 1879, a village in the Kholmeche church parish . According to the 1897 census, there was a chapel, a literacy school, a bread store, and a tavern. In 1908, a brick factory worked in the Kholmeche volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province .
From December 8, 1926 to August 4, 1927, the center of the Chaplinsky village council of Kholmemsky , from August 4, 1927 of the Loyevsky districts of Rechitsky from June 9, 1927 of the Gomel districts.
In 1929, the Red Builder collective farm was organized, 2 brick factories, a shoe shop, a windmill , 2 oil mills, 2 forges worked. During the Great Patriotic War, in the battles near the village in October-November 1943, 428 Soviet soldiers of the 65th army were killed, including Heroes of the Soviet Union S.F. Kostychev , I.G. Machot , V.I. Cherkasov (buried in mass grave in the center of the village). In 1957, the inhabitants of the village of Wiener moved to the village (does not exist). According to the 1959 census, as part of the Vostok state farm (center - Stradubka village). There were a nursery-kindergarten, a shop.
