Location
19 km southwest of Loev , 79 km from the Rechitsa railway station (on the Gomel - Kalinkovichi line ), 103 km from Gomel .
Transportation Network
Transport links on the country, then the highway Bragin - Loev. The layout consists of a short rectilinear latitudinal street. The building is rare, wooden, manor type.
History
It was founded in 1871 by immigrants from the neighboring villages of Abramovka and Ruchaevka and the village of Shmaki of the Chigirinsky volost of the Bykhovsky district of the Mogilev province of the Melnikovs, Budniki, Larchenki and Kovalev. Named in honor of Emperor Nicholas 1. In 1873, the village became the site of the work of the Western Expedition for the drainage of swamps, residents debated with the landowner about the ownership of meadow lands until 1918. Before World War I, there were 2 streets, 2 churches and a school, as well as a factory for processing blue and red clay (clay is mined now). In June 1920, the village was captured by the Poles. In 1931, residents entered the collective farm. During World War II, the invaders in 1943 burned 22 yards and killed 8 residents. In the area of the village there were major clashes between partisans and punitive detachments of fascists. According to the 1959 census, as part of the Zarya state farm (the center is the village of Ruchaevka, Loevsky district).
