Geography
Location
24 km south-west of Loev , 50 km from the Khoyniki railway station) (on the Kalinkovichi - Khoyniki branch from the Gomel - Luninets line ), 117 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
In the south there is a network of reclamation canals, on the eastern outskirts of the Pesochanka river (flows into the Lutovskoye lake, in the Dnieper river flood plain).
Transportation Network
Near the highway Bragin - Loev. The layout consists of a rectilinear latitudinal street, to which a short street joins in the east. The building is wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 16th century as the village of Damamirka. After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . In 1834, in the Ruchaevsky volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1879 it was designated as a village in the Ruchaevsky church parish . According to the census of 1897, there was a chapel and a tavern.
In 1930, the collective farm “Krasnaya Niva” was organized, 2 windmills and a forge worked. According to the 1959 census, the center of the collective farm “Communist” (now attached to KSUP “Sovkhoz“ Zarya "). There were a primary school , a house of culture, a library, a feldsher-midwife station, a store, a communications department , and a kindergarten.
