Geography
Location
7 km north-west from Lelchits , 72 km from the railway station Yelsk (on the Kalinkovichi - Ovruch line ), 194 km from Gomel .
Transportation Network
Near the Middle Furnaces - Lelchitsy motorway. The layout consists of 2 parallel streets, oriented from the south-east to the north-west and built up with two-sided wooden peasant estates .
History
At 0.2 km to the south-west of the village, in the natural boundary of the Dubin, a burial mound (8 mounds) was found. According to written sources, it has been known since the beginning of the 20th century as a village in the Lelchitsky volost of the Mozyr district of the Minsk province . In 1908 Dubnitsa farm.
In 1931 a collective farm was organized. During the Great Patriotic War in March 1943, a guerrilla airfield was created 3 km east of the village, which provided part of Belarus and Ukraine’s partisanship with the Great Land. From March 1 to June 26, 1943, 65 airplanes with cargoes for partisans were taken, 64 aircraft dropped cargo over the airfield by parachute, 46 wounded were taken to the Soviet rear. In May 1943, the invaders burned 55 yards. According to the 1959 census, the Red October collective farm (center - the village of Dubrova ) consisted of a primary school , a library, a medical assistant and obstetric center, and a club.
