Thomas Barron ( Spanish: Provincia de Tomás Barrón , Quechua Tomás Barrón pruwinsya , aym. Tomás Barrón jisk'a suyu ) is one of the 16 provinces of the Oruro Bolivian department. The area is 341 km². According to 2001 data, the population is 5424; population density - 15.9 people / km². The administrative center is the city of Eucalyptus .

Geography
Located in the north-eastern part of the department. The length of the province from north to south is 30 km, from west to east - 25 km. Borders on the province of Cercado (in the south, west and east) and the department of La Paz (in the north).
Population
87% of the population speak Spanish, 82% speak Aymara, and 8% speak Quechua . Catholics make up 66% of the population, Protestants - 27%. According to the 1992 census, the population was 5045 people. 49% of the population is engaged in agriculture; 11% - in industry; 39% - in the service sector and 1% - in the mining industry.
