Location
14 km south-west of Korma , 67 km from the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 96 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Gorna River (a tributary of the Sozh River ). In the south, the drainage channel.
Transportation Network
On the Korma - Zelenaya Polyana highway. The layout consists of 2 streets almost parallel to each other, oriented from the southeast to the northwest and connected by lanes. It is built up bilaterally, mainly by wooden houses of a manor type. History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Rechitsa district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . After the 1st partition of the Commonwealth (1772) as part of the Russian Empire . According to the revision of 1859 in the possession of the landowner I.K. Bykovsky. In the 1880s, a grocery store began to operate. In 1886, 2 windmills , in the Rassokh volost of the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . According to the 1897 census, a parish school, a bakery, 2 windmills, and a drinking house operated . Since 1907, a public school worked (85 students). In 1909, a wine shop was operating. Since 1911, a library operated at the school.
From August 20, 1924, the center of the Strukachevsky village council of Kormyansky, from December 25, 1962 Rogachevsky , from January 6, 1965 Chechersky , from July 30, 1966 Kormyansky districts of Mogilev (until July 26, 1930) district, from February 20, 1938 the Gomel region.
In 1929 the collective farm named after R. Luxemburg was organized , a windmill and a forge worked. During World War II , 49 Soviet soldiers were killed in battles near the village (buried in a mass grave in the center of the village). According to the 1959 census, 391 inhabitants. In 1974, the village of Lozki was annexed to the village, to which in 1962 the villages of Dorki and Dubrovka-I were annexed. For a long time, a resident K.K. Nikitin worked as the chairman of a local collective farm; he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor . As part of the farm named after V.I. Chapaev (center - the village of Borova Buda ). The House of Culture, a post office , a secondary school (a new brick building was built in 1986), a library, a feldsher-midwife station, and a kindergarten are located.
The structure of the Strukachevsky Village Council until 1962 included the villages of Dorki, Dubrovka-I, Dubrovka-II, until 1974 the village of Lozki, the village of Zhdanov, to which the village of Krugly and Kryvyi Rih were added in 1962 (currently do not exist).
Previously, the village was the center of the Strukachevsky village council .
