Geography
Location
18 km west of Korma , 37 km from the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 93 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Dobritsa River (a tributary of the Dobrich River, a tributary of the Sozh River).
Transportation Network
Near the Korma- Yamnoe highway. The layout consists of a rectilinear street oriented from southwest to northeast, to which 3 short streets join on the west side. The building is two-sided, loose, mostly wooden manor type.
History
According to the first maps of the Commonwealth of 1740, it is called "Petrovichi".
According to Russian written sources, it has been known as the village of Petravichi since the beginning of the 19th century as a village in the Dovskaya volost of the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province .
In 1829, the owner of the eponymous estate, Strakovsky, owned here 288 tithes of land that he inherited.
In 1836-1837, the landowner, retired Lt. Col. David David Geisher, in 1837, the landowner retired Major Theodore Zeichler.
In 1854, the landowner Justin Sukhotsky.
In 1856, the landowner owned 326 tithes of land, a tavern and a mill in the village.
A bread store was opened in the 1880s.
According to the census of 1897, there was a brick church, 2 bakeries, a windmill , and the eponymous farm was nearby.
In 1908, the village belonged to the Zadubsky rural community and belonged to the Khizovsky Orthodox parish.
In 1908, there were 958 acres of land in the village, 327 acres of land in folklore.
In 1909, a school was opened, which was located in a hired peasant house, and in the early 1920s a nationalized building was allocated for it. There was a loan and savings bank, a post office, transformed in 1911 into a postal and telegraph office.
In 1930 the collective farm “Red Lighthouse” was organized, 2 mills and a forge worked. In 1939, the village of Myshakovka was attached to the village. According to the 1959 census, as part of the Starogradsky state farm (the center is the village of Starograd ).
