Zhaunytsia ( Belor. Zhavunitsa ) is a village in the Korot'kovsky Village Council of the Kormyansk district of the Gomel region of Belarus .

Due to radiation pollution after the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, residents (41 families) were resettled to clean places in the 1990s.

Geography
Location
19 km north-east of Korma , 74 km from the railway station Rogachev (on the Mogilyov - Zhlobin line ), 129 km from Gomel .

In the south, the river Zhawnitsa (a tributary of the river Sozh ).
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the Volyntsi -Korma highway . The layout consists of 2 meridional arc-shaped streets. The building is bilateral, wooden manor type.
History
It was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by immigrants from neighboring villages, in the Korma parish of the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . In 1930 the collective farm "May 1" was organized, 2 windmills worked . According to the census of 1959 was part of the collective farm "Volyntsy" (center - the village of Volyntsy ). Until October 31, 2006 as part of the Volynetsky Village Council [1] .
