Geography
Location
20 km south-west of Korma , 68 km from the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 85 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Chechora River (a tributary of the Sozh River ), in the west is a small pond.
Transportation Network
Transport links along a country road, then along the Dovsk -Gomel highway. The layout consists of 2 river-separated parts: western (rectilinear meridional street, in the south of which a small detached building joins) and eastern (short, stretching along the river, one-sided built up street). Apartment buildings are wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 19th century as a village in the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . In 1882, a parish school was opened, for which a building was built in the same year, a bread store was operating. In 1930, the collective farm "Red Town" was organized , a windmill and a forge worked. According to the 1959 census, a flax mill worked as part of the V. I. Chapaev state farm (the center is the village of Borovaya Buda ).
Previously, the settlement was part of the Strukachevsky village council .
