Geography
Location
38 km to the north-east from Kalinkovich , 6 km from the Ostankovichi railway station (on the Zhlobin - Kalinkovichi line ), 2 km from a stopping point on the same railway line [Pludim], 119 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
In the south, reclamation canals running to a small reservoir near the nearest village of Peretok. To the north of the village is a small swamp, to which local residents have long appropriated the name "MOX" (with an area of about 4-5 hectares) between the forest and a small young fishing line under the local name "Loza".
Transportation Network
Transport links on the country, then the highway Gomel - Luninets . The layout consists of a rectilinear street close to latitudinal orientation, which in the west joins a short meridional street. History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Mozyr district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . In 1796, the possession of Elena. In 1850, as part of the estate Lipov landowner Horvat. In 1879 it was designated as a village in the Lipovsky church parish . According to the 1897 census, villages separated by a stream (dried up) of Rakov-1 and Rakov-2. In 1907, peasants opposed the landowner Horvat. Until now, west of the village, on the way to the stopping point Pludim, the remains of the garden and part of the foundation of the estate of the landowner have been preserved. In 1908, in the Karpovichi volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province .
In 1922, residents built the school building at their own expense, and in 1923 classes began in it. In 1929, the Red Rakov collective farm was organized, a windmill , a forge, and an elementary school worked (in 1935, 69 students). During World War II, 60 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census as part of the collective farm named after S. M. Kirov (center - the village of Mironenki ).
