Location

43 km to the north-west from the district center , 42 km from the Kalinkovichi railway station (on the Gomel - Luninets line ), 162 km from Gomel .

Hydrography

In the east and south, reclamation canals.

Transportation Network

Transport links along the country road, then the Kalinkovichi - Bobruisk highway . The layout consists of a slightly curved street oriented from southwest to northeast and built up with wooden peasant estates .

History

According to written sources, it has been known since the 19th century as a village in the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1876, the nobleman Wentzlevovich owned in these places 8607 tithes of land, a tavern and a windmill . Since 1894, the distillery worked. In 1930, residents entered the collective farm . During World War II in March 1943, the invaders burned 38 yards and killed 13 residents. According to the 1959 census, the center of the Rodina state farm was a secondary school, a library, a feldsher-midwife station, and a kindergarten.

Peretrutovsky Vorotyn in the period of the 1560s - 1890s

The history of these villages is rooted in the deep past. The village of Dubnyaki and Peretrutovsky Vorotyn belonged to Pan Lund, whose estate was in Kryukovichi. Kaplichsky Vorotyn belonged to Pan Novakovsky, whose estate was in Kaplichi. The main occupation of villagers and farmers was agriculture.

Soviet period

In 1918, Soviet power came to Vorotyn. In 1930, an authorized person arrived in the village and announced the organization of collective farms, as a result of which a collective farm was created. It was decided to relocate all people from the farms to villages. People did not immediately understand what collectivization was, but they had to believe the representatives of the region. All the good that was carried down to the collective farm. Two collective farms were created: the village of Kaplichsky and Peretrutovsky Vorotyn were part of the collective farm "Way of Stalin." D. Dubnyaki was part of the Voroshilov collective farm.

War and post-war years

The happy years of peaceful life were interrupted by the treacherous attack of Nazi Germany. During the Great Patriotic War, residents of the village of Vorotyn were in partisan detachments. Only women and children remained behind. They plowed, sowed and ruled. In March 1943, the invaders burned 38 yards and killed 13 residents.

After the war, people returned to their homes. It was necessary to restore the national economy. And the villages were reborn: houses were built, children were born, life was getting better. In 1953 there was a union of the collective farms “The Way of Stalin” and “Voroshilov” into the collective farm “Zhdanov”. He was led by Novitsky Ivan Tarasovich.

In 1960, the Domanovichi district was disbanded, as a result of which the lands were transferred to the Ozarichi state farm, which included 12 collective farms. Pastukhov Ivan Pavlovich, former secretary of the district committee, was appointed the first director. In 1961, in connection with the distribution of the Ozarichi state farm, the village of Vorotyn and the village of Dubnyaki became a member of the Kaplichi state farm, the director was Pavel Alexandrov, and in January 1964, the Kaplichi state farm and the village of Dubnyaki and Vorotyn were divided the composition of the Tremlyansky state farm.

Education

After the October Revolution, an elementary school was opened. Classes were held at home.

In 1929, classes were held in the kulak house, which consisted of two rooms.

In 1952, a wooden school was built, in which four classes studied in two shifts. The school was attended by 100 people.

In 1964, a new brick school was commissioned. In 1983, a two-story school was erected.

In November 1924, a reading room was opened in the village of Vorotyn. The room consisted of two rooms, which were furnished with two tables, one closet, and four racks. The reading room had 900 copies of books, and several periodicals.

In 1950, a library was reopened in Vorotyn. There were 600 books in the library. There were 51 readers, mostly children. In 1954, the library was transferred to the premises of the collective farm office. In 1983, they began to build a new village, built a new house of culture.

Development

The fire department was created in 1995. Four stores, a school, a kindergarten, a house of creativity were opened. Since 2010, Vorotyn acquired the status of an agro-town.
