Location
12 km to the southeast from the regional center and the Kalinkovichi railway station (on the Gomel - Luninets line ), 132 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the northern outskirts of the river Dymarka (a tributary of the Zakovanka river).
Transportation Network

History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 17th century as a village in the possession of the landowner B. Aloshchina, who on March 18, 1674, gave the penis to the Jesuits. After the 2nd division of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire , in the Autukyevichy volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1879, it was designated as a village in the Kalinkovichi church parish . According to the 1897 census, a church, a literacy school, and a bread store operated. In 1915, a zemstvo school was opened, which was located in a hired peasant house.
In 1930, the Smyk collective farm was organized, a forge, a torfaz factory, and an elementary school worked (in 1935, 34 students). During World War II, on January 13, 1944, she was liberated from German occupation. 37 residents died at the front. In 1970, as part of the collective farm "Friendship" (center - the village of Syrod ).
