Gogolev ( Belor. Gogaleў ) is a village in the Lipovsky village council of the Kalinkovichi district of the Gomel region of Belarus .

Location
44 km north-east of Kalinkovich , 14 km from the railway station Kholodniki (on the Zhlobin - Kalinkovichi line ), 68 km from Gomel .

In the south and north melioration channels.
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the Gomel- Luninets motorway . The layout consists of a straight street, close to the meridional orientation, to which in the south a second straight street joins at the right angle from the east. The building is wooden, bilateral manor type.
History
The site of ancient settlement discovered by archaeologists (1.5 km from the village, in the Gorodinka gorge) indicates the settlement of these places from ancient times. The settlement was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by immigrants from neighboring villages. The most active building dates back to the 1920s. In 1929, residents joined the collective farm . There was an elementary school (in 1935 there were 35 pupils). During the Great Patriotic War , there was an underground group (leader S. P. Aliseiko, killed). In 1943, the Vasilevichsky Underground CP (b) B and LKSMB District Committee, the Vasilevichskaya Partisan Brigade named after PK Ponomarenko of the Polesia Connection were based in the village and the surrounding forests. 12 residents were killed at the front. According to the census of 1959 in the experimental base "Lipov" (center - the village of Lipov ).
