Geography
Location
28 km north-west of Kalinkovich , 21 km from the railway station Kholodniki (on the Zhlobin - Kalinkovichi line ), 151 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
In the east, the Visha River and reclamation canals.
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the Kalinkovichi - Bobruisk highway . The layout consists of a slightly curved street, close to the meridional orientation and built up with wooden peasant estates .
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Mozyr district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . It is indicated on the map of 1866, used by the Western Land Reclamation Expedition that worked in these places in the 1890s. In 1879, it appears in the Novoselkovsky church parish . According to the 1897 census, a chapel worked in the Kryukovichsky volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1918, a school was opened, which was located in a hired peasant house.
In 1929 a collective farm was organized, a forge worked. In the 1930s, the school built its own building (in 1935, 65 students). During World War II, 62 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, a store worked as part of the Bereznyansky state farm (the center is the village of Kryukovichi ).
