Obukhovshchina ( Belorussian. Abukhaўshchyn ) is a village in the Berezovsky village council of the Kalinkovichi district of the Gomel region of Belarus .

Geography
Location
32 km southeast of the regional center and the Kalinkovichi railway station (on the Gomel - Luninets line ), 166 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
In the west, the floodplain of the Pripyat River .
Transportation Network
Transport links on the country, then the highway Gomel - Luninets . The layout consists of a rectilinear street with a side street oriented meridionally and built up on both sides with wooden peasant estates .
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the beginning of the 19th century as a village in the Urovichi volost of the Rechitsa district . In 1850, in the possession of the landowner Obukhovich. In 1876, 2162 tithes of the earth and 3 horse mills. In 1879 it was designated as a village in the Yurovichi church parish . According to the 1897 census, a literacy school and a bakery store operated.
In 1931 the collective farm “Krasnaya Obukhovshchina” was organized. During World War II in June 1943, the invaders burned the village and killed 6 residents. 60 residents died at the front. In 1970, as part of the collective farm “50 years of the BSSR” (the center is the village of Beryozovka [1] ).
