Description

Charlie Brown is a Peanuts character who appeared in the first issue of the comic on October 2, 1950. Not taking into account some stylistic differences in Schultz's drawings of that time, Charlie Brown has not changed outwardly from the very first comic book. However, at first he wore a plain t-shirt; A zigzag strip was added on December 21, 1950 to add more color to the comic. In an early comic strip on November 3, 1950, [4] Charlie Brown said that he was “only four years old,” but over the next 20 years of the comic strip he grew up; on November 17, 1957 he was 6 years old, and on July 11, 1979 - "eight and a half years." In subsequent years, it was repeatedly mentioned that Charlie Brown was approximately 8 years old [5] .

Charlie Brown was originally more mischievous and fun compared to later comics. He made fun of friends and adults, in his relationship with Patty and Violet there was a romantic connotation.

Soon, Charlie Brown turned into a loser character, by which he is best known. Many of the stories in the comic were based on the fact that he stubbornly did not want to give up when everything was already lost (for example, his unwillingness to leave the baseball field when it rains heavily, interrupting his favorite game), or that it is bad with him will happen at the moment when it seems that everything will turn out well. Charlie Brown never receives valentines and Christmas cards , and on Halloween, instead of sweets, he is given stones.
