Psychological reward

Psychological reward is the process of securing behavior through pleasant sensations. The concept of reward is used to describe the positive qualities attributed by an individual to an object, a behavioral act, or an internal physical state. Primary (natural) rewards reinforce the behavior necessary for the survival of the species, such as food, mating and fighting.

Secondary rewards are closely related to the primary ones and determine the value of objects, actions and conditions related to the satisfaction of primary needs. The value of a safe haven, money, comfort, beauty, pleasant touches, sounds and much more is determined by the secondary reward.
