Cuming County is a county in Nebraska , USA . The capital and largest city is West Point . According to the 2010 census, the number of residents in the district was 9139 people. In the Nebraska license plate system, Caming County is prefixed with 24.

Geography
Caming is located in eastern Nebraska. The area of the okrug is 1489 km², of which 1479 km² is land and 10 km² is water. The Elkhorn River flows through Caming with its tributaries Plum, Rock, Caming, Fisher and Pebble Creek [1] .

History
The boundary of Caming County was determined by an act of territorial legislature, adopted in March 1855. Settlement began in 1856, and the district administration was established in 1857. The county was named after Territory Governor . Caming's development has been linked to agriculture in the fertile valley of the Elkhorn River. In the 1870s, a railway was built [1] [2] .

In 2010, 9,139 people lived in the okrug (of which 49.6% were men and 50.4% were women), there were 3,756 households and 2,559 families. Racial composition : white - 98.9%, African Americans - 0.1%, Native Americans - 0.3%, Asians - 0.2, and representatives of two or more races - 1.1%. According to the 2015 census, 9078 people lived in the district, of which 53.6% were of German origin, 1.4% were of Norwegian, 0.9% were Polish, 7.5% were Irish, 5.8% were English, 6, 0% - Swedish [3] .
According to the 2010 census, the population of the district according to the age range was as follows: 25.0% - residents under 18 years old, 2.5% - between 18 and 21 years old, 51.7% - from 21 to 65 years old and 20.8% - at the age of 65 years and older. The average age of the population is 43.7 years. For every 100 females in Caming, 98.4 males were accounted for, while for 100 adult females there were already 98.2 males of comparable age [3] .
Of the 3756 households, 68.1% were families: 58.8% of couples living together (21.8% with children under 18 years of age); 5.6% are women living without husbands and 3.7% are men living without wives. 31.9% did not have a family. On average, 2.40 people conduct households, and the average family size is 2.94 people. 28.3% of the population lived alone, 14.6% were single elderly people (over 65) [3] .
