Features

HD 13931 - a star of 7.61 visible magnitude; [1] For the first time in astronomical literature, it is mentioned in the catalog of Henry Draper , published at the beginning of the 20th century . This is a double of the Sun , i.e. in its parameters it is very reminiscent of our daylight. HD 13931 is an old star, about 8 billion years old, with weak chromospheric activity. Its surface temperature is about 5829 Kelvin .

Planet System

In 2010, a team of California astronomers announced the discovery [1] of the planet HD 13931 b with a system. This is a gas giant , very similar to Jupiter . It has a mass equal to 1.88 Jupiter, and is drawn at a distance of 5.15 AU from the parent star. The discovery of the planet was made by the Doppler method .
