Manure spreader - agricultural machine for the distribution of organic fertilizers in the fields and gardens , providing grinding and uniform spraying of manure . Variety spreader . Structurally, most often it is a single- or two-axle tractor trailer equipped at the rear with a rotary mechanism for grinding and scattering manure, controlled from the driver’s cabin [1] . In addition to trailers, in recent decades, self-propelled manure spreaders based on special heavy three - wheeled self - propelled tractor chassis of high passability [2] are also becoming more widespread in the countries of Western Europe and North America [2] ; similar machines were developed in the 1980s and in the USSR , but did not go into a series for economic reasons [3] .
Among the manure spreaders, the so-called liquid spreaders have a separate purpose, but a fundamentally different design of the scattering mechanism and technological process and intended for the distribution of liquid organic fertilizers, first of all - slurry (liquid part of cattle manure) [4] [5] .
The first mass-produced automated manure sprinkler dates back to 1875 , when Canadian engineer Joseph Kemp from Waterloo created a specialized horse trailer, for the release of which several factories were built in the USA, which were sold to International Harvester Corporation in 1906 [6] [7] [8] .
