Career

Club

Lustig started his football career at the Swedish Sandoker's UK club, which plays in the lower divisions of the country. In 2004, he joined the Umea team, which he reached in 1st place in the third division of Sweden in the 2005 season, which gave him the right to play in the next season in Superettan .

In August 2005, Lustig signed a contract with the Sundsvall Club [1] . Before the end of the 2005 season, he managed to hold only eight meetings in Allsvenskane , in which he marked 2 times with a goal. This did not save his new club from the last place in the championship of Sweden, so “Sundsvall” flew into the second-most powerful division. In the next season of 2006, Lustig was finally entrenched in the basis of the team, having played 28 matches and scored 3 goals. In 2007, he and the team finished in third place in Supethtan, which meant the return of the team to Allsvenskan.

In July 2008, Lustig joined the Norwegian club Rosenborg . The amount of transition was 8 million Swedish crowns [2] , the contract was signed for three and a half years. Since 2009, the Swedish football player was a player of the main composition. In 2009 and 2010, he and the team became the champion of Norway . With his game he attracted the attention of several European clubs at once: in particular, English Ham West United [3] , Italian Milan Milan [4] and Lecce [5] showed interest in him.

On January 1, 2012, Mikael Lustig, as a free agent, joined the Scottish " Celtic " [6] .

In the national team

Mikael Lustig was involved in the youth team of Sweden from 2006 to 2009, and during that time he spent 21 matches, scoring 1 goal. On January 19, Mikael made his debut in the national team, entering the field in a meeting with the USA , in which the Swedes lost with a score of 0: 2 [7] .
