Description
They are found in the Afrotropic zoogeographic region, in western, equatorial, eastern and southern Africa . The spurs of the hips of the middle and hind legs are long (they are short in the close genus Empusa ), exceed the length of the apical lobes. Prothorax longitudinal (several times longer than its width). The antennae of males are comb. The top of the head has a protrusion [3] . The genus includes 2 modern species [2] [4] .
