Son of Shattouars i . At the beginning of the reign was in vassal dependence on Assyria , but later rebelled against Adad-Nirari I. The latter made a successful march against Mitanni, culminating in the deposition of Vasashatta and the annexation of the entire territory of Mitanni (up to the great bend of the Euphrates and the city of Karkemish ) to Assyria.
