Biography
He is a graduate of the Union San Vicente Club. In 2005, he signed a contract with Belgrano, and in the 2007/08 season he became the club's top scorer in the second Argentine division . Despite the persuasion of fans not to leave Belgrano, who is fighting for a ticket to the big leagues, Suarez signed a contract with the Belgian Anderlecht in May 2008. The top scorer of Anderlecht in the Europa League 2011/12. Recognized as the best player in Belgium in 2011. Attracted to the Argentine national football team.
In mid-2012, the player was interested in the Russian CSKA , but at the last moment the club refused to sign the player due to negative results of a medical examination [2] . Subsequently, the deal fell through.
In the summer of 2013, Matthias Suarez extended the current contract with the Belgian club until the end of June 2017 [3] .
In 2016, Suarez returned to Belgrano. Since 2019 he has been playing for River Plate .
