Karin, Erlan Tynimbayuly

Born on May 26, 1976 in the village of Aksu, Sairam district, Chimkent region (now South Kazakhstan region).

In 1997, he graduated from the Faculty of History of the Aktobe State University named after K. Zhubanov , in 1999 - graduate school of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh State University . Candidate of Political Sciences , Ph.D. Thesis: “Domestic Political Aspects of the National Security of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

In 1996 - 1998, he worked as a history and geography teacher at the secondary school No. 33 of the city of Aktyubinsk (Aktobe since 1999), and a teacher at the Department of Political Science, Aktobe State University named after K. Zhubanov .

In 1998–2000 , he worked as an employee of the Center for Political Studies of the Development Institute of Kazakhstan, deputy director of the Institute of Russia and China.

From 2000 to 2003 - Director of the Central Asian Agency for Political Studies.

In 2002-2003 - freelance adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2003-2004 - First Deputy Chairman of the Asar Republican Party , General Director of the International Institute of Contemporary Politics.

From 2004 to 2006, he headed the Center for Anti-Terrorism Programs.

In 2006, he was appointed adviser to the akim of the Mangystau region on political issues.

In February 2008, by order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Erlan Karin was appointed head of the internal policy department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan .

In November 2008, by a resolution of the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party "Nur Otan" Nursultan Nazarbayev, he was appointed secretary of the Nur Otan People's Democratic Party for strategic development. In August 2013, he resigned as secretary of Nur Otan in connection with a foreign internship.

In December 2013 - May 2014 - visiting professor at the American University in Washington ( USA ).

In October 2014, by an order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev was appointed director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan ^[2] .

On February 9, 2017, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of RTRK Kazakhstan JSC ^[3] .

He is the chairman of the board of the Kazakhstan Association of Political Sciences, a member of the public council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Karate-do Federation (AKF). Emeritus Professor, Shanghai University of International Studies (2018).

He speaks Kazakh , Russian and English . Yerlan Karin is the author of more than 200 scientific and journalistic articles in Kazakhstani and foreign scientific and periodicals.

He calls Alikhan Bukeikhanov , John F. Kennedy and Nursultan Nazarbayev the ideal politician. Hobbies - photography , history , archeology , collecting , weapons . Interests - the problem of terrorism , national and regional security, special services and their role in the national security system, the history of Kazakhstan , the history and culture of Asian countries.
