Suncheon ( cor. 순천 ? , 順 кор ?, Korean pronunciation: [ sun.tsʰʌn ]) is a city in the DPRK , in the province of Pyeong Namdo . It employs 437,000 people [1] and is home to various manufacturing plants. Lime and coal are mined in the city. The mining and manufacturing industries are developed.

History
In December 1951, during the Korean War , an aerial battle took place at Sunchon between the Royal Australian Air Force and the two allies of North Korea - China and the Soviet Union .
Geography
Pyeongson is located in the south, Yunshan County in the east, the city of Kecheon in the north, the city of Anju in the northwest and Sukchon in the west.
