The Onon Range - a mountain range in the southeast of Transbaikalia , on the left bank of the Unda River (the right tributary of Onon ). Administratively part of the Trans-Baikal Territory of Russia .

The length of the ridge from southwest to northeast is about 90 km. The average width is 20 km. The prevailing heights are from 1000 to 1200 m, the highest point is Mount Petrovka (1323 m). The western slopes are relatively gentle, the eastern steep, deeply dissected. The ridge is composed mainly of granites and granite-porphyry, in the south - sandstones and conglomerates . Larch taiga grows on the slopes. The relief is dominated by the midlands.
