Evgenia Ivanovna Konradi (nee Bochechkarova ; 1838 , Moscow - 1898 , Paris ) is a Russian writer , journalist , journalist and translator . Worker of the Russian women's movement and champion of higher education for women.

Biography
Born to a noble family . Having received a good home education, in 1858 she entered the Moscow School of Women as a classroom lady and an English teacher.
At the turn of the 1850–1860s, Evgenia Ivanovna moved to Petersburg and married the doctor and journalist PF Konradi. From this period began its literary activity.
Literary and publicistic activity
At first, E. Conradi was engaged in translations from French and German. In 1865, her first original article, The Development of Slavery in America, was published in The Russian Word .
After some time, E. I. Konradi joined the ranks of actively working journalists. Since 1866, she is an active employee of the new journal “ Female Messenger ”, where she chronicled the women's movement in the West, was printed next to G. Uspensky , P. L. Lavrov , V. A. Sleptsov .
Since 1868, she has been editing the weekly newspaper The Week . She has published a number of reviews of the life of a foreign society.
In 1869, together with P. A. Gaideburov and Yu.A. Rossel, became the owner of this newspaper. She posted articles on parenting, women's equality, work issues in the "Bulletin of Education and Training" and " Northern Herald ". In 1872, together with the writer P. A. Gaideburov, she published the collection “Russian social issues”.
In the women's movement of the 60s of the XIX century, E. Konradi, along with M. V. Trubnikova , N. V. Stasova , A. P. Filosofova, acted as one of the leaders of the left wing . On January 2, 1868, on behalf of a circle of women, EI Konradi addressed a letter to the first congress of Russian naturalists, gathered in St. Petersburg, and publicly raised the question of the need for a systematic female education.
In 1874, she ceased her collaboration with the weekly newspaper. Forced to give up his beloved business led to material difficulties: Conradie needed most of her later life. In 1885, a new blow followed - the death from the consumption of the son-student, which struck him in Switzerland, where his mother brought him for treatment. Since then, Evgenia Ivanovna no longer returned to Russia. She died in Paris , in a public hospital.
After her death, in 1899, EI Konradi’s works were published in two volumes. In the first volume - her main work “Confession of Mother”, in the second - articles from periodicals.
