Journal of Financial Economics (JFE; Journal of Financial Economics ) is a specialized economic journal ( USA ). The publication was founded in 1974 , takes 5th place among the largest international economic journals [1] [2] .

The first editor ( Founding Editor ) is Michael Jensen . The managing editor is currently G. William Schwert . The editorial board of the journal includes well-known economists: J. Fam , C. French , A. Schleifer and others [3] .
Since 1997 , the magazine has been annually awarding prizes in 2 nominations: Jensen Prize (for the best article on corporate finance and organizations) and Fama-DFA Prize (on capital markets and asset pricing). For each nomination, the first ( $ 5,000) and second ($ 2,000) prizes are awarded.
Periodicity of the magazine: 12 issues per year. The magazine provides a specialized forum for publishing research in the field of financial economics and company theory. The main emphasis is on the high quality of analytical and empirical research in the following areas: capital markets, financial institutions, corporate finance, corporate governance, business economics [4] .
