Santo Tomas ( Spanish: Santo Tomás , Quechua Santu Tumas ) is a city in the southeast of central Peru . The administrative center of the province of Chumbivilcas in the Cuzco region. In addition, it is the center of the homonymous district. Located at an altitude of 3650 m above sea level. According to the 2005 census, the population is 8,265; data for 2010 report a population of 10,396 people [1] .
