Rafael Batyrshin - an ethnic Tatar with an Italian name, born in Moscow on August 26, 1986. At that time, CSKA rattled the whole world, but Batyrshin’s parents decided to send their son to another Moscow team, Dynamo. Already at the age of 17, Batyrshin made his debut in the second team of Krylya Sovetov, and in his first season spent the most matches among defenders of the team. Not surprisingly, during the course of the season he was attracted nine times to the main squad of Wings, which was then in the second Russian league. Over the next four years, Batyrshin was the main defender of the first Krylya Sovetov team.
In total, Batyrshin played 139 matches for the first team of the Moscow Wings, in which he scored 11 points (2 + 9), showing himself as a typical homebody defender. For the second team "Wings" on the account Batyrshina 80 games and 18 points (4 + 14).
The 2007/08 season was fourth for Batyrshin as part of this Moscow team. But at the end of the season, Rafael moved to another team of the Higher League - the Ryazan ice hockey club. For Ryazan Batyrshin played 14 matches and was marked by two assists.
The next season of 2008/09, Batyrshin, began again in his native Wings, only then they were called Krylya Sovetov MCC. The reason is the split of the once united team into two teams, with mutual accusations of the leadership that the created teams are illegitimate. All this tense situation did not prevent MHK from reaching the finals of the Higher League and losing the Khanty-Mansi “Ugra” in it. Rafael spent 70 games that season and scored 20 points (7 + 13) - so far this is the best defender performance in his career. In the fall of 2009, Batyrshin made his debut in the KHL, as part of the league's major braggers - Chekhov's Vityaz. I must say that the style of the game "Vityaz" is very close to Raphael. Possessing impressive dimensions, Batyrshin always appeared in the role of a tough defender, gaining an average of 50 minutes fine per season. For Vityaz, the defender played for two seasons in which he played 95 matches, gaining 16 points (5 + 11).
In the summer of 2011, Batyrshin moved to Atlant, a Moscow region. He could safely be considered the main defender of the team. For "Atlant" Rafael played 33 matches, gaining 8 points (2 + 6). But on January 13, 2012, the management of Atlants exchanged it for Novosibirsk Siberia for Vyacheslav Belov, and Rafael completed the rest of the season in Novosibirsk. Although his team hadn’t made it into the playoffs, Rafael watched many Atlanta matches in the Gagarin Cup in the spring of 2012 in Mytishchi.
Season 2012/13 Batyrshin started in Novosibirsk "Siberia", spent one game. Then he was again exchanged to Atlant and spent there 2 seasons (2012 / 2013-2013 / 2014) the main defender of the team, having spent all the games in the 1st pair. The next two seasons (2014 / 2015-2015 / 2016) Raphael chose to protect the Magnitogorsk Metallurgist. In the season 2015/2016 became the Champion of Russia and won the Gagarin Cup. May 12, 2016 moved to the Kazan Ak Bars. In the season 2016/2017 he won the playoffs bronze medal. In the 2017/2018 season, he again became the Champion of Russia and won the Gagarin Cup twice.
