History
Previously, Chernyakhovsky Street was located on the territory of the former Moscow Region village of Vsekhsvyatsky . Before the revolution, it was called Popovsky (or Frolovsky ) travel. In 1922 it was renamed the Paternal passage according to the ancient name of the All Saints - the village of Holy Fathers .
In 1961, the passage merged with a new nameless street and changed its name to Chernyakhovsky Street . The new name was given in honor of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Army General Ivan Danilovich Chernyakhovsky (1906-1945) [1] . On February 18, 2016, a monument to Ivan Chernyakhovsky was inaugurated on the street.
According to the plans of the 1950s and 1960s, the route of the future fourth transport ring of Moscow was supposed to pass along the street [2] . A relatively large street width is associated with this plan. However, later they abandoned the idea of building a fourth ring here.
