Biography
Peter Mayr studied history and political science at Dublin University College . In the 80s. Lecturer at the University of Limerick and the European University in Florence. In 1987 he defended Ph.D. at Leiden University , dedicated to the study of the Irish party system. In 1990, his work co-authored with Bartolini received the Stein Rokkan Prize for Comparative Social Science Research [3] . In 1994, he became a professor at Leiden University. He specialized in comparative research, and above all on parties and party systems.
