St. Petersburg Open Championship 2011 [1] - the 17th draw of the annual professional tennis tournament among men, held in the Russian city ββof St. Petersburg on hard courts and part of the ATP tour as part of the ATP 250 series .

In 2011, the tournament was held from 24 to 30 October . The competition continued the series of hall tournaments in the region, located between the US Open and the Final tournament .

General Information
Sowing in the single-player competition was headed by Gilles Simon (No. 12 in the world at the time). The Frenchman left the tournament after the start of the match, and the title went to the fourth seeded Marina Cilic , who beat the second racket of the seeding Janko Tipsarevic in the final. Last year's champion, Mikhail Kukushkin , defended his title, but also left the prize in the first round. The strongest neseyanny competitors lost in the quarterfinals.
The list of participants in the doubles tournament was headed by a team of Frantisek Chermak / Philip Polashek (then the 18th and 25th racket of the world). The title also went to the British Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins , in the final replayed Michael Elgin and Alexander Kudryavtsev , and for the match before that, they beat the first sesyannyh Czechoslovaks out of the net. Last year's champions - Daniele Brachchali and Potito Starace - defended their title, but lost in the quarterfinals.
