Biography
Johann Jacob Brami-Wolf was born in 1791.
One of the most diligent observers of the insect lifestyle and one of the most active entomologists of Switzerland .
Brami-Wolf was self-taught and brilliantly overcame all the difficulties that the study of entomology presents. He wanted to be a preacher, but at the age of 12, due to illness, he became deaf and became a turner.
Brami-Wolf has posted several articles on insects (especially diptera) in Swiss magazines, and also published a list of Swiss beetles.
