Nizhny Novgorod State District Power Plant (named after A.V. Winter ) is a former state district power station in the city of Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod Region (NiGRES), one of the oldest in Russia, built according to the GOELRO plan . In 1933 , after renaming the city of Nizhny Novgorod to the city of Gorky, the station was named GoGRES , in 1991 the station was returned to its previous name. History

The construction of the station began in 1921 , and on September 6, 1925 the first turbogenerator was turned on. The installed capacity of the first stage was 20 MW. The power plant gave current to consumers of electricity in Nizhny Novgorod, Sormov, Kanavino. The source of fuel was nearby peat deposits. By 1933, the station reached a design capacity of 204 MW and became the largest peat-powered power plant. During the first five-year periods, NiGRES became the basis for the development and reconstruction of enterprises in Nizhny Novgorod , Balakhna , Dzerzhinsk , Pavlov and other enterprises of the region. To transfer electricity to the Zaok districts of the region, unique towers of power lines were built.

In 1949-1958, the high-pressure aggregates were installed at the station and the fuel supply was reconstructed with the transfer of fuel combustion in the dust state, and in 1962-1969, the new main building was built - five high-pressure boilers with a total capacity of 1,050 tons of steam per hour and two turbines with a capacity of 34 MW each. This contributed to the transfer to the centralized heat supply of industrial enterprises and the population of the city of Balakhny and the village. Pravdinsk .

After the fires of local peat deposits, the station began to experience a shortage of fuel (peat), and in 1983-1984 another reconstruction was carried out to convert it to gas fuel (reserve fuel oil), 5 were modernized and 2 new power boilers were built with a total capacity of 740 t / h , 80 MW turbines, two peak hot water boilers with a heating capacity of 100 Gcal / h.

In 2008, NPO Saturn entered into an agreement with TGK-6 for the supply of six gas turbine engine-110 and auxiliary equipment for the construction of three CCGT-325 at Nizhny Novgorod State District Power Station. [2] However, this project was never implemented. In 2014, the obsolete state district power station was sold to the main heat consumer, the Volga Balakhna Boom Plant, and has since become the energy complex of Volga JSC [3] .

For the implementation of this investment project, the Volga Boom Plant was awarded in the regional competition "Investment Project of the Year 2014" in the field of industrial production [4] [5] .

Currently, the energy complex (NiGRES) conducts its activities in several areas:

  • supplies boom mill with thermal and electric energy;
  • supplies thermal energy to enterprises of the Balakhninsky district, including Pravdinsky Radio Plant, BKF, Real-Invest, Environmental Technologies and Luidor;
  • provides heating and hot water supply to the village of NiGRES, r.p. Hydrotorf and the city of Balahnu .

Capacities

NiGRES. Turbogenerator No. 2

The energy complex (NiGRES) has 2 turbines with a total capacity of 112 mW, as well as seven boilers, five of which are energy steam, and two are water-heating, with a total capacity of 100 Gcal / h.
