Biography

Born into a fisherman's family. In 1931-1934 worked in the Kyzyl-Arvat regional post office (assistant manager, manager), in 1934-1941. - Head of the port in Cheleken .

In 1941-1945 He served in the Red Army , a participant in the Great Patriotic War . Then until 1948 he headed the port in Cheleken. In 1947 he joined the CPSU (b) .

Since 1948 - Deputy Head of the Turkmen State Geological Administration, in 1949-1951. - Director of the Ozokerite field at Cheleken . In 1951-1953 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Krasnovodsk City Council.

In 1955 he graduated from the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU . Since 1955, he was the first secretary of the city committee of the Communist Party of Turkmenistan in Cheleken, and since 1957, in Nebit-Dag . Since 1960, he headed the Executive Committee of the Ashgabat City Council.

From March 26, 1963 to December 15, 1978 - Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Turkmen SSR ; since 1966 - also deputy chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

He was a delegate to the XXIII (1966), XXIV (1971) and XXV (1976) congresses of the CPSU, at which he was elected a member of the Central Auditing Commission of the CPSU (April 8, 1966 - February 23, 1981).

He was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the 7th (1966-1970; deputy of the Council of Nationalities from the Turkmen SSR [2] ), the 8th (1970-1974; deputy of the Council of the Union from the Turkmen SSR [3] ) and the 9th (1974-1979 ; Member of the Council of the Union from the Turkmen SSR [4] ) convocations.
