Biography
He studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory under Philip Busmans and Klas de Fries ( 1984 - 1989 ). Since 1989, he studied at the Tanglewood Music Center in Massachusetts with Oliver Knussen and Lucas Foss . Later, he returned to Tanglewood many times as a scholar, teacher, and invited composer.

The main interests of Zuydam are associated with vocal music, especially opera.

- 1991: Calligramme / il pleut for two voices a cappella to the verses of Apollinaire

Teaching activities
