VTech (Video Technology; Chinese trade. 偉 易達 , exercise. 伟 易达 , pinyin : Wěi yì dá , pall .: Wei-da ) is a world leader in the production of cordless phones, accessories and electronic training devices, as well as toys, lighting and audio equipment [2] [3] [4] [5] . The company is headquartered in Hong Kong .

History
The company was founded in 1976 by businessmen Allan Wong and Stefan Laung [6] . In the 1980s and 1990s, VTech manufactured personal computers and game consoles; in 2000, it bought a telephone production unit from Lucent Technologies (today, VTech Innovation). As of 2011, VTech employed more than 30 thousand people.
Structure
VTech's manufacturing facilities are located in China - two plants in Dongguan and a factory in Qingyuan . In addition, the company has three research centers in Hong Kong , Shenzhen and Canada [7] .
