Character stats

Michael, Franklin and Trevor begin the game with a different set of personal indicators. As the characters gain experience, their performance also grows, and this, in turn, improves their skills, increases reaction speed and endurance. The more often a player applies a skill, the faster the corresponding indicator grows. For example, if Michael flies in a helicopter, he will increase the flight rate. Moreover, personal indicators are individual for each of the heroes, that is, if Franklin rides a lot on motor vehicles, the driving indicator will increase only for him, for Michael and Trevor this characteristic will remain unchanged.

• Special ability. When using it, the corresponding indicator will gradually increase, and with it the speed of filling the special ability scale will increase.
• Endurance. Increased endurance allows the hero to run, swim and ride a bicycle longer before he gets tired, but if you continue to exhaust yourself, the hero will begin to lose health. When performing these actions, this indicator increases.
• Shooting. A high rate of fire reduces the return of all types of weapons and makes the hero more accurate, in addition, the hero will be able to carry more ammunition and reload faster. The more goals a player hits, especially with a headshot, the stronger his score will increase. To increase it faster, the player will need to visit the shooting range and pass accuracy tests.
• Strength. The increased strength allows you to do more damage in hand-to-hand combat, climb stairs faster, take less damage when falling, crashing, exploding or catching fire, and also allows the hero to hit the ball harder while playing golf or tennis. To increase this indicator, the player must participate in fights and play sports.
• Stealth. The higher the stealth indicator, the less noise the hero makes when moving in normal and stealth mode, in addition, this allows you to move faster in stealth mode. This indicator grows faster if you often use stealth movement and kill enemies.
• Flight. With a low flight index, all hero-piloted vehicles are more prone to turbulence. A high rate makes piloting easier and provides a softer fit. This indicator affects the management of all types of air transport. The more often the hero flies, the higher the rate. To improve it faster, the player must attend a flight school.
• Driving. High driving performance makes it easy to drive in the air and when driving on the rear wheel. The more time the hero spends behind the wheel, the faster this indicator grows, especially if the player often gets on the rear wheel or jumps by car, landing on all four wheels.
• Lung volume. A large volume of lungs means that the hero can stay under water longer. The more often a player dives under water, the faster this indicator rises.

Scene

The scene of Grand Theft Auto V was the fictional city of Los Santos , the prototype of which is Los Angeles . Los Santos first appeared in one of the previous games in the series - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas , released in 2004 . In the game, in addition to the city itself, there are also adjacent territories of the countryside, mountains, forests, hills, and beaches, in the game called “Blaine County” ^[12] . There is also a separate gaming space - the fictional state of North Yankton ; probably a parody of the actual state of North Dakota near the Canadian border. In this state there is only one gloomy city - Ludendorf. You can’t get into North Yankton, the exception is two story missions, the action of which takes place directly in Ludendorff. The entire map of Los Santos and its environs is open to players from the very beginning. In total, the game has 39 locations. In the January 2012 issue of Game Informer magazine, an interview was published with Dan Hauser , where he said that the size of the map in GTA V will be very large ^[13] . In fact, the GTA V map is approximately 7.5 times the size of Liberty City GTA IV , 3.5 times the San Andreas state from GTA: SA , 9 times the GTA: Vice City game world, 14.6 times more maps of GTA III ^[14] and 4 times the number of Red Dead Redemption cards ^[15] .

Map and Radar

If you start hiding from the scene of the crime in front of the police, the player immediately gets 2 wanted stars. But, as it turns out later, Michael’s death was staged: before the robbery, he joined the witness protection program, began cooperation with the Federal Reserve Bank and, in order to save himself and his family, made friends in an ambush. He receives from the Federal Reserve Bank an expensive mansion, money, and so that the surviving Trevor does not find him, Michael changes his last name “Townley” to “de Santa”.

The game is postponed to 2013 , in Los Santos, San Andreas . Michael has a tense relationship with his family: his wife Amanda constantly spends his money and cheats on him, his son Jimmy is obsessed with video games and drugs, and his daughter Tracy is trying to get on television, in particular in the porn industry. Franklin offers his services to Michael. Michael's son, Jimmy, is kidnapped by some bandits along with Michael's yacht, which Jimmy was trying to sell them. Michael and Franklin save Jimmy, but miss the boat. Michael, having caught Amanda in bed with her tennis coach, chases him with Franklin to his house and, having tied the house supports to his pickup, brings him to the ground. With Trevor, Tao Chen, the son of Wei Chen, the leader of the triad in San Andreas, begins to work. But his competitors, Trevor O'Neill, are luring him into their business. Trevor destroys their home. The survivors O'Neill and Wei Chen yearn for revenge (the latter, Father Tao wants this because they lost the buyer because of Philips).

With the help of his friend Wade, Trevor finds Michael in Los Santos. Friends reunite, but have a tense relationship - Trevor considers Michael a traitor who faked death and hid with money. Michael meets with Dave Norton and his colleague Steve Haines and, on their instructions, with Trevor and Franklin rescues the required FRB person Ferdinand Kerimov from the SDG building (a CIA parody of the game). Then, under the leadership of Trevor, the heroes steal secret weapons from the military security organization Merryweather, which, however, has to be returned. Michael quarrels with his family, and Amanda with the children leave. Michael, Trevor and Franklin, on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank, rob a cash vans with a cashier, and Michael meets Devin Weston, a wealthy businessman who charges heroes to steal some rare cars for him. Weston introduces Michael Solomon Richards, the famous filmmaker who offers de Sante to be the producer of his new film.

Michael Madraso calls Michael and offers him a job. Together with Trevor, he blows up a jet plane and steals securities from it for Madraso. But Martin refuses to pay, and Trevor angrily abducts his wife Patricia, with whom he later has a romantic relationship. Michael and Trevor have to leave the city for a while, and they settle in the Philips trailer in Sandy Shores. Heroes are preparing for the main robbery in the game - the robbery of the Federal Repository. Trevor suddenly wonders who is in Michael Townley’s grave instead. Trevor decides to get to Ludendorff to find out. In pursuit of him, Michael also flies to Yankton. Trevor digs up the grave and finds in it the body of Brad. Suddenly, Wei Cheng's bandits appear. Trevor escapes, Michael is captured by the Chinese. Franklin, meanwhile, delivers all the cars to Weston, but Devin refuses to pay. With the help of Lester, Franklin finds Michael and saves him. Michael returns to the film studio. Devin Weston is trying to take over Richards' new film, but Michael stops him. With the help of Dr. Friedlander, Michael is reunited with his family. Together with Franklin, Michael raids the FIB building and steals valuable files for Norton and Haines. Norton sets up a meeting with Michael, who turns out to be the ambush of agents FIB, IAA and Merryweather, organized by Steve Haines. With the help of Trevor, Michael and Dave escape.

Meanwhile, Franklin's friend, Lamar, is captured by the Ballas at a sawmill in Paleto Bay. With the help of Michael and Trevor, Franklin saves Lamar. For the first time in the history of the Grand Theft Auto series , the protagonist can carry several types of weapons of the same type at once, choosing it with the help of a "circular selector", divided into eight slots containing a different type. 9 июля 2013 года был выложен геймплейный трейлер игры. Он больше напоминал обычный трейлер, но многие элементы геймплея игры были в нём показаны.

15 августа 2013 года вышел геймплейный трейлер многопользовательского режима игры под названием Grand Theft Auto Online . Также появилось превью режима. Было официально объявлено, что мультиплеер будет доступен 1 октября 2013 года.

Выход игры изначально планировался на весну 2013 года ^[32] , но был отложен на 17 сентября 2013 года для Xbox 360 и PlayStation 3 ^[44] .

17 сентября 2013 года игра официально поступила в продажу для Xbox 360 и PS3 ^{[45] [46]} .

9 июня 2014 года, на игровой выставке E3 2014 в Лос-Анджелесе GTA V была официально анонсирована на Windows , Xbox One и PlayStation 4 . В ноябре 2012 года Штраус Зельник в интервью сайту VideoGamer.com рассказал, что для игры Rockstar Games планирует много «интересного» загружаемого контента ( англ. DLC ) ^[61] . 11 октября 2012 года Энди Макнамара, главный редактор журнала Game Informer сообщил в своём Твиттере, что он находится в Нью-Йорке с целью посмотреть на GTA V. В новой версии для PlayStation 4 , Xbox One и Windows разработчики обещают тщательно переработанную графику, в том числе увеличенную дальность прорисовки, выводимое разрешение Full HD, текстуры повышенного разрешения, более проработанные модели людей и объектов, больше травы, деревьев и другой растительности, улучшенные освещение, тени и погодные эффекты, более плотный поток транспорта и людей, улучшенную физику разрушений, больше животных и другие визуальные доработки.

Коснутся изменения и контента — новые модели оружия, автотранспорта, одежды и других вещей. Максимальное количество игроков на одном сервере в мультиплеерном режиме GTA Online возрастет до 30, добавятся новые задания и испытания. Эксклюзивно ПК-версия получит встроенный видеоредактор и настраиваемую графику. Весь прогресс с прошлой версии можно будет перенести на абсолютно любую платформу.

13 января 2015 года разработчики представили системные требования для ПК-версии игры. Стоит отметить, что GTA V поддерживает только 64-битные версии системы Windows , а также размер игры составит 65 ГБ ^[119] . На ПК игра вышла 14 апреля 2015 года.

Также Rockstar Games заявили о следующих возможностях ^[119] :

• Включение GTA Online для ПК с поддержкой до 30 игроков, а также GTA Online Heists (для консолей будет запущен в ближайшие недели до запуска для ПК).
• Высокий уровень детализации на 1080p , 60 кадров в секунду с 4K разрешением и поддержка тройных конфигураций монитора ( англ. triple monitor configurations ).
• GTA V для ПК также включает в себя новый видеоредактор ( The Rockstar Editor ), который даёт игрокам полный набор инструментов для создания, редактирования и публикации игрового видео в Social Club и YouTube .

Проблемы и ошибки

Некоторые русскоязычные пользователи, загрузившие GTA V в день релиза, испытывали проблемы с установкой, входом, либо во время игры. Проблема заключалась в учётной записи Windows. Пользователи, чьи учётные записи Windows содержали символы, отличающиеся от цифр и латинских букв, не смогли запустить, загрузить, либо играть в неё ^[120] . Данная проблема была устранена с первым же патчем. Сообщается также и об отсутствии доступа к сервису Rockstar Social Club. Также игра не запустится в случае, если в системе отсутствует Windows Media Player ^[121] . Компания Rockstar Games исправила эти проблемы за 6 дней после выхода игры на ПК ^[122] .

14 мая на игровом форуме GTA Forums распространилась информация, что отдельные игроки обнаружили на своих компьютерах вредоносное ПО fade.exe кейлогер , после установки модификации Angry Planes и noclip ^[123] . ESET предупреждают об этом игроков, установивших эти модификации, и рекомендуют менять все пароли и удалять их ^[124] .

Игра была подвергнута резкой критике за сцены пыток и сексизм. В миссии, где Тревор допрашивает заложника, игроку выпадает возможность применить любое орудие пыток. Журналисты описывали сцену пыток как политический комментарий, некоторые считали, что миссия вызывает проявление бестактности ^{[90] [125]} . Подобное мнение высказывалось со стороны политиков и благотворительных организаций по борьбе с пытками ^[126] . Игра считалась предметом обсуждения по поводу сексизма.
