Shibli-Umm al-Ghanam ( Heb. שבלי - אום אל-גנם , arab. الشبلي - أم الغنم ) is the local council in the northern district of Israel . Its area is 2.92 square kilometers [1] .

The village gained its present form only in the early 80s, when the last Bedouin tents gave way to permanent homes; At the same time, the authorities appointed Mukhtar (a position similar to the headman ) of the village as head of the council, and the village management became more modern.
