Story
Mo leaves for his old school of bartenders and leaves Homer in charge. Upon his return, he gives the old bar a new look - video installations , stools mounted on the ceiling, and instead of Duff beer, Malaysian beer from soy sauce is served. Homer is not thrilled and opens his own bar in his garage. Mo says that it’s illegal, and seriously quarrels with Homer ...
Homer lures REM to a performance in his bar-garage, assuring the musicians that this is an action to save the rainforests. Further in the cartoon, a performance of a fragment of the famous hit REM It's the End of the World as We Know It is demonstrated. Homer with friends singing energetically dancing. When the deception is revealed, Michael Stipe breaks the bottle furiously, intending to attack Homer with the resulting “ rose, ” but Peter Buck and Michael Mills grab his hands with the words: “This is not REM!” Suddenly calmed down, Stipe agrees with them and gently sweeps the fragments of the bottle into the scoop, pouring them into the trash, and then offers to just leave ( there is noticeable banter on the image of the group ). In the series finale, the group members attend a gala dinner at the Mo Tavern , where everyone is treated to a turkey "made entirely of soybeans" cooked by the musicians. Michael Stipe demonstratively enjoys bean curd, which, however, does not inspire Bart sitting next to him.
