Cumberland ( born Cumberland Sound ) - the bay of the Atlantic Ocean off the southeastern coast of the island of Baffin Island .

The bay runs into land for 259 km. Its width is about 74 km, the depth at the entrance is 360-550 m. The banks are high, mostly rocky. From the end of September to June it is covered with ice. The tides are semidiurnal; in the full moon and new moon, the tide reaches 7 m.
