Llano Estacado [1] [2] , Llano Estacado [3] [4] ( English Llano Estacado [5] ) is a plateau in the USA located in the southern part of the Great Plains .

The surface of the plateau is flat, slightly dissected. The height is 700-1500 m. The plateau is composed mainly of sandstones and limestones , and in some places it is covered with loose sand . Often there are manifestations of karst . Only the Pekos River has a constant current. Semi-desert vegetation predominates.
