History
In 1934 it was planned to build a 2-1 Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant at the Antonov site. [3] Construction of the plant at the Antonovsky site (2nd Kuznetsky) lasted from 1941 to 1943. [four]
In 1957, the USSR Council of Ministers approved the construction of the West Siberian Metallurgical Plant near the city of Novokuznetsk .
The 2000 Blast furnace, Rolling mill 1300, was built.
In 1961, the foundation was laid for the first coke oven battery , which, on October 1, 1963, produced the first coke .
In 1964, the West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant was launched on the Antonovskaya site of Novokuznetsk , a more modern enterprise in terms of technical equipment than the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant . July 27, 1964, the plant received the first cast iron .
On September 2, 1965, the first rental was received at the 250-2 small section mill.
June 22, 1967 received the first agglomerate .
December 29, 1968 received the first in Siberia converter steel .
December 27, 1969 blooming commissioned.
In April 1970, the continuous-billet mill was commissioned; this was the complete metallurgical cycle. Scientific and practical conferences of young specialists are held. [five]
On January 22, 1971, the plant was awarded the Order of Lenin "For the great achievements of the workers of the West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant in increasing metal output and the accelerated development of design capacities of industrial facilities."
In the period from 1971 to 1980, the 3rd blast furnace, the oxygen converter shop No. 2, the 7th coke battery, the steel wire wire production shop were commissioned.
June 30, 1983 West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant was transformed into a combine .
On November 30, 1992, by the decision of the ZSMK labor collective, it was reorganized into the open joint-stock company “West-Siberian Metallurgical Works”. From 1994 to 2011, ZSMK brand was zapsib.
May 18, 1995 received the first pipe billet continuous casting machine billet (CCM) .
As of 1996, the company employed 35,495 people.
With the participation of specialists from SibGIU and KemSU, a program of further development of the ZSMK was presented. [6]
On October 31, 2002, a reconstructed eight-strand continuous caster was commissioned.
On February 4, 2005, a two-stage ladle furnace unit was put into operation, intended for out-of-furnace metal processing before casting on two continuous casting machines .
June 30, 2005, 5.5 millionth tonne of wire was obtained in the steel rolling industry.
On November 16, 2005, the first products were produced at the constructed slab caster .
In the first quarter of 2008, a major overhaul of turbocharger No. 10 was completed (the unit with a capacity of 3000 m³ of air per minute was designed to provide the plant with an oxygen blast ). A sewage treatment plant used in the process of copper-plating of wire in the workshop for the production of wire and hardware was commissioned . In the oxygen converter shop No. 1, the repair of the 160-ton converter No. 1 for steel production was completed .
From July 1, 2011, EVRAZ United West-Siberian Metallurgical Combine united ZSMK and NKMK. [7]
In 2011, the complex on the ZSMK site became known as the Evroz OZSMK construction rental site.
There are blast furnace shop with three furnaces, two converter shops, five converters [8] , rolling mills 250, 251, 252, 450 [9] .
Since 2014, pulverized coal has been used for the production of pig iron at EVRAZ ZSMK. The plant was one of the first in Russia to introduce advanced technology in the blast furnace process . [ten]
