The Sergiev Posad agglomeration (formerly known as the Zagorsk agglomeration ) is a city agglomeration , centered in the city of Sergiev Posad , occupies the entire southern part of the territory of the Sergiev Posad district of the Moscow region . The population of the agglomeration exceeds 210 thousand people, almost half of the population lives in its center - the city of Sergiev Posad.

The urban population accounts for over 78% of the agglomeration population.
In addition to these urban settlements, the agglomeration includes a number of settlements of a formally rural type, but with a large population and urban appearance. These include, first of all, Remmash - in fact, an urban-type village with a population of over 7 thousand people, the village of Shemetovo (in its composition the urban microdistrict Novy MosNPO Radon) with a population of more than 4 thousand inhabitants, the village of Loza (with a branch of VNIIPP) with a population of about 3 thousand people , village Svatkova (former Zagorsk at the poultry farm) with the urban neighborhoods of houses and a population of over 2 million people, villages Mostovik (at bridge structures plant) and Buzhaninovo (at major railway station), each with a population of about 2 million rer, as well as having the appearance of urban village resort "Zagorsk Dali" and Bugs village (population of each of them close to 2 thousand).
