The concert was recorded in Tokyo ( Japan ) in Nippon Budokan on April 26, 2004. The concert album was released on three CDs in the form of 18 audio recordings (6 songs on each disc). The video album was released on two DVDs . The first disc contains a video of the concert, the second - additional materials. Also on October 18, 2011, the video was released in Blu-ray format.
Content
Songs
The track list did not include the tracks “The Great Debate”, “Under a Glass Moon”, “Caught In a Web” with a 12-minute drum solo due to the limited time for a single DVD.
In the middle of the composition “Beyond This Life”, a 10-minute improvisation of the team members begins, which gradually passes into the completion of the instrumental section and the composition itself. The composition “Hollow Years” was performed in a new version that contains an extended intro and a guitar solo. Throughout the concert, four parts of the title track of the album “ Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence ” were performed: “War Inside My Head”, “The Test That Stumped Them All”, “Goodnight Kiss” and “Solitary Shell”.
At the same time, at the concert an instrumental potpourri was performed under the name “Instrumedley”, which consists of various parts of the compositions: “The Dance of Eternity”, “Metropolis”, “Erotomania”, “A Change of Seasons”, “Ytse Jam”, “ Paradigm Shift, Universal Mind, Hell's Kitchen, of which Paradigm Shift and Universal Mind are Liquid Tension Experiment groups. It refers to all previous albums of the band, except for the Train of Thought , since the potpourri was compiled back in 2002.
